Aaron Freeman - Private |
Pvt Aaron Freeman of the 46th infantry NC is my 2nd great-grandfather. Born in Randolph County North Carolina in 1827. Died on January 19, 1865 at General, Hospital, Camp, Winder, Richmond City, Virginia. Only a few months before the wars end. Buried in Hollywood Cemetery Richmond, Richmond City, Virginia. Also buried in this cemetery is Jefferson Davis president of the CSA with more notables. Of course I never knew him but my heart hurts just knowing how these men suffered. On both sides. Aaron had three small children and a wife waiting at home for his return but, as fate had it this would not be. I created a memorial page for Aaron Freeman on findagrave.com. If anyone is interested here is the link. Through this link at Hollywood Cemetery Richmond Virginia you can also find others that are buried there. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/84259259/aaron-freeman
